Venus in Scorpio Trading Co. is a gothic western inspired offering that blends the bleak and barren aesthetic of the Old West desert with the contrasting grandeur of religion, and religious symbolism of the Gothic era. Much like its astrological namesake, Venus in Scorpio Trading Co. dwells in both dark and light. As a genre, gothic western deals with themes of death, the occult and superstition. We also see tragedy, death, and rebirth in historical religious literature. Both offer moments of bleakness as well as hope. The Venus in Scorpio native is essentially the embodiment of just this: darkness and light. It finds beauty beneath the veil and breathes life into the forgotten and departed.

With Venus in Scorpio as a significant placement in my own astrological chart, and its essence an accurate reflection of what I sought to present, it felt serendipitous for Venus in Scorpio Trading Co. to become the title and representation of this venture that is so dear to me.

I offer versions of special pieces from my own home. This looks like arched structures, distressed wooden pieces, religious figures, rusted metal, and raw crystals. Just as I pair the old with the new in my home, I offer both antique and vintage ornamentation, as well as new.
